PCs for KIDS

Advertised by Volunteering Geelong

At PCs for Kids we accept donations of IT equipment and other eWaste from businesses and the general public then refurbish or recycle as much as possible.

PCs for Kids is a registered charity run entirely by volunteers. People choose to volunteer with us for a variety of reasons – retired, between jobs, work experience students, supported activity programs eg. GenU and AYS. Most have an interest in computers and/or gaming and/or recycling and sustainability. You will work with 2-10 volunteers at a time in an inclusive, friendly environment managed by a workshop supervisor. PCs for Kids is self-funded by: selling refurbished/tested IT equipment and components to the general public; offering a limited computer repair service; selling sorted metal and circuit boards to recycling organisations. Any surplus funds are donated to local schools and Barwon Health Foundation.
Our activities support our program of providing computers free of charge to eligible children referred by schools or support agencies.
