Volunteer Lifesaver – Surf Life Saving Queensland Make a real impact. Learn life-saving skills. Join the red and yellow family.

Love the beach and want to give back to your community? Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) is looking for passionate and community-minded people to become Volunteer Lifesavers at clubs right across the state.

What’s involved? As a Volunteer Lifesaver, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping Queensland beaches safe. From watching over swimmers to responding to emergencies and providing first aid, you'll work as part of a patrol team making a real difference every shift.

No experience? No problem. We’ll provide all the training—including your Bronze Medallion, First Aid, and CPR—completely free.

What you’ll get: ✔️ Nationally recognised lifesaving qualifications ✔️ A fit, active lifestyle with real purpose ✔️ Flexible commitment—just 25 hours per season ✔️ A social, supportive team environment ✔️ The chance to protect your local beach and give back

We’re looking for people who are: ✅ Confident in the water (we’ll train you for rescues) ✅ Team players who are safety-conscious and dependable ✅ 15 years or older ✅ Available some weekends or public holidays (rosters are flexible)

Ready to join the red and yellow family? Send us a message or visit slsq.com.au/jointheclub to find your nearest club and learn more.
