Driver - Foodshare

We are seeking fully licensed drivers to be part of our team who visit various organizations to collect donated goods and deliver them to our Foodshare premises. This would also entail sorting and packing away of collected goods. Our drivers also deliver some items that we donate and share with other local organizations, schools and community groups. Our drivers share the use of our refrigerated van- this entails keeping the van in clean condition, refueling it where needed and ensuring it is kept secure. Drivers are required to have a full Victorian license and comply with all relevant Victorian road rules and laws. Time required

Estimated time requirement for this role would be 4-6 hours per week, however if a volunteer had more time available that would also be gratefully accepted and utilized if/when required. 2-3 hours on Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings, with some ad hoc hours also available on other days Our organisation is based at 203 Henry Street Greensborough. Drivers would be required to travel distances of up to 45 minutes to collection points, then return to our Foodshare premises

Requirements

Driver's Licence (F)
National Police Certificate

To be willing and able to work in teams of 2 and to undertake some lifting of heavy items using safe work practices and appropriate trolleys
