Event Support Volunteer
Advertised by Volunteer South West IncorporatedOur Event Support Volunteers play an important role in helping Capel Pony Club deliver safe, successful and enjoyable events.
What you'll be doing:
Depending on the event and your availability, tasks may include:
- Assisting with event preparation in the lead-up to the day.
- Helping with setup of arenas, signage, fencing, equipment and other event facilities.
- Assisting officials, competitors and visitors throughout the event.
- Helping with general event duties and keeping things running smoothly.
- Assisting with refreshments, equipment, information or other areas as required.
- Helping to pack down equipment and return the grounds to their usual condition at the end of the event.
- Working as part of a friendly team and lending a hand wherever needed. You don't need to be an expert — we'll provide guidance and let you know what needs to be done.
Why this matters:
Our events simply couldn't happen without our volunteers. Your time and effort help Capel Pony Club provide opportunities for children and young riders to participate, compete, learn new skills and build confidence in a safe and supportive environment. Volunteering also helps us maintain and improve our facilities, support our members and continue to host quality equestrian events that benefit our club and the wider Capel community. Every job, no matter how big or small, makes a difference.
The best bit?
The best part of volunteering is being part of the team and seeing an event come together. You'll meet new people, spend time around horses and be part of the behind-the-scenes team that makes the event possible. There is a great sense of satisfaction in knowing that your contribution has helped children and families enjoy their day. And, of course, there's nothing quite like watching the action from behind the scenes!
About you:
We're looking for people who are:
- Reliable and willing to lend a hand.
- Friendly, approachable and happy to work with others.
- A team player who isn't afraid to get stuck in.
- Comfortable working around children, families and horses.
- Responsible and able to follow instructions.
- Someone who enjoys being part of their local community.
- Most importantly, someone who cares about supporting our young riders and helping Capel Pony Club succeed. You don't have to be a Pony Club member or an experienced horse person to volunteer. Whether you have lots of experience or are simply keen to help, there is a place for you in our volunteer team.
