Fred's Van Gawler - Kitchen Volunteer (Thursday)

Vinnies provides a range of services to support people experiencing homelessness and marginalisation, including Fred’s Van, a volunteer-led emergency food service operating across South Australia. Fred’s Van provides a welcoming meal service from an indoor venue, supporting approximately 30–50 people each week.

The Kitchen Volunteer helps with meal preparation and the smooth delivery of the evening meal. The role involves physical tasks such as setting up and packing down, lifting supplies, standing for extended periods, washing dishes, preparing food and cooking during service.

We are looking for someone who is empathetic, practical and confident working with people, with experience in leading or managing teams. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are important for this role.
