About the Role:

As a Service Facilitator, you’re the first point of contact at our hair cutting services and play a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming space. You’ll help manage the flow of the day, keeping things running smoothly for both our clients and volunteer hairdressers/barbers. Most importantly, you help create a friendly and respectful atmosphere where everyone feels valued.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet clients and maintain a list of those waiting for a haircut

Chat with clients while they wait and let them know when it's their turn

Coordinate with hairdressers/barbers to manage the haircut queue

Keep track of the number of haircuts delivered at each session

Assist with simple set-up or pack-down tasks before and after the session

Skills and Qualities We’re Looking For

Excellent communication and organisational skills

A warm, outgoing and friendly personality

Ability to engage respectfully with people from all walks of life

Sensitivity to the needs of people experiencing homelessness, poverty or disadvantage

Reliability and commitment to showing up for your scheduled shifts

Your Commitment:

We ask that volunteers are available for approximately three hours, once a month. Service dates and times vary depending on our community partners — but we do our best to make them work for your schedule.
