About Vinnies Canberra/Goulburn and Our Shops: The St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn (Vinnies) has been serving the local community for over 100 years. We are committed to offering a ‘hand up’ to people experiencing hardship through practical assistance, advocacy and compassion. Our network of Vinnies Shops is a vital part of our mission. The shops provide high-quality, affordable goods to the community, reduce landfill by reusing and recycling and generate essential funds to support our local programs — including homelessness services, food assistance and emergency relief. Every role in our shops, from sorting donations to serving customers, makes a real difference in people’s lives.

About the Role: Vinnies South Coast Centres are looking for helpful, detail-focused volunteers to sort, price and prepare donated craft items. You’ll be busy upcycling all sorts of bits and bobs, giving them new life and helping create eye-catching displays that inspire creativity in our customers. It’s a hands-on role perfect for anyone who loves crafting, organising or just enjoys being part of a great team.

Key Tasks:

  • Check craft items for quality and ensure all parts are included.
  • Group items into sets or bundles where possible.
  • Price items using Vinnies guidelines.
  • Help create simple, tidy displays that are easy to browse.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Interest in arts, crafts or creative materials.
  • Attention to detail when sorting and checking items.
  • Organised and able to keep things neat and in order.

If you’ve got a few hours to spare and a creative vibe come help us sort, price and pass it on!
