Early Support for Parents is a small not-for-profit that has been operating in the southern Tasmania region for almost thirty years. Our mission is to support families experiencing challenges before they become crisis points through early intervention supports focused on connection, education, skill and capacity building. Our volunteer-led model supports thriving communities through the development of place-based leaders.
Role details: The Board President leads a growing Board in the governance, strategy, risk and financial health of Early Support for Parents. This will include:
- Overseeing governance duties and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Leading strategic planning in line with Early Support for Parents' vision
- Chairing effective Board meetings and driving strategic decision-making
- Leading funding diversification and sponsorship efforts to secure the organisation's financial future
- Driving positive relationships with government funders
- Overseeing the performance of the Operations Manager

Time commitment: 10 - 15hrs per month
