Cow Wellbeing Support Worker

This role is about patience, kindness, and healing. As a Wellbeing Support Worker, you will help restore their trust by creating a safe, nurturing environment. You will show them that they are cared for through gentle presence, daily routines, and time spent simply being with them.
Key Duties
- Provide comfort and reassurance by sitting quietly with the cows, reading, or singing to them.
- Offer fresh hay, clean water, soft bedding, and shelter as part of their daily care.
- Build trust slowly by leaving treats, progressing to feeding, then gentle touch and companionship.
- Support emotional well-being by allowing the cows to approach you in their own time.
- Record observations of behaviour to track progress in their journey of recovery.
Skills and Experience Needed
- Deep patience and empathy for animals recovering from trauma.
- Comfort being around large animals and willingness to learn safe interaction methods.
- Consistency and reliability to support their long-term recovery.
