Peer Support - Leavers 2026 in Dunsborough with WAAC
Advertised by City of Swan - Swan Volunteer Resource CentreWAAC are once again heading down south to support this year’s Leavers 2026 from November 21st -27th.
Your role is to provide peer support for leavers based on the harm minimisation framework. Our focus is on topics around sexual health, relationships, drug and alcohol harm reduction.
Picture this! You’ll be the friendly, trusted face that young people turn to during their big week. Whether it’s a chat about consent, mental wellbeing, or making smart choices around alcohol and other challenges, you’ll be there- without judgment, just support.
What are we looking for in a volunteer
🙌 You're 18-30 years old
🙌 You’re confident chatting with young people and happy to get involved in activities
🙌 You have experience working with young people and know how to stay professional while being approachable
🙌 You’re comfortable being in a busy, high-sensory environment with medium to high levels of noise, light, and activity
🙌 You’re comfortable working outdoors in dusty or allergen-prone environments, like festival-style fields. We work rain or shine!
👨💻 A screening interview is part of the volunteer application process
🚗 All volunteers will travel in a fleet of cars provided by WAAC, accomodation and food costs will be covered during the stay in Dunsborough. First Aid/CPR is a requirment, but can be reimbursed if sucessful in gaining a volunteer position and needs to be completed.
