Care and Clothes Centre Op Shop

Advertised by Southern Volunteering (SA) Inc

The Care and Clothes Op Shop has been operating for nearly 40 years and has developed a community reputation as a very friendly place to shop that offers good value for money. It is open Wednesday to Friday from 9.30am to 2 pm and volunteers start and finish work from 9am to 2.30pm to enable them to set up displays, open display areas and clean and pack away at the end of the day. On arrival, volunteers report to the Op shop Manager and/or the Day Leader. Most volunteers work one day a week and Thursdays and Fridays are currently available for either a weekly or fortnightly committment. General duties include assisting with stock sorting, rotation and replenishment. All workplace health and safety procedures must be followed and attendance at training sessions as needed. Skills and Attributes:-Customer service includes greeting and assisting customers' queries so a friendly and helpful manner is needed. This is a cash only Op Shop so volunteers once trained are able to operate the cash register and record transactions. Basic numeracy skills are necessary. Reliability and punctuality are required. An interest in retail, sustainability or community service is a plus.
