School Holiday Volunteer
Advertised by Albury Wodonga Volunteer Resource BureauVolunteers assist children/young people in achieving goals and positive outcomes through participation and engagement in social and recreational activities. Activities include
- Craft, cooking, sport, boardgames, outings to the park, community activities such as bowling and outdoor play.
- You may support participants one to one or in a group of participants and will always be supervised and supported by trained staff.
- Help promote a safe and secure environment for participants, other volunteers and staff, undertake OHS requirements as appropriate to the position.
- Communicate appropriately and respectfully, verbally and non- verbally (pictures, sign/hand gestures) with participants.
- Promote and support a culture of diversity and inclusivity. Volunteers are supported in asking questions, seeking direction and raising concerns when unsure of a task or situation.
- Explore potential career opportunities
- Develop transferrable skills.
- Make a difference to the lives of people with a disability, their families.
