We are seeking enthusiastic Volunteers to join our team and help support our vulnerable clients.
Volunteers support CatholicCare Central Queensland by providing a range of services, supported by other CatholicCare staff and volunteers, which directly or indirectly enhance our client’s wellbeing through the services provided by CatholicCare.
Specific tasks undertaken by volunteers can vary and will be directed by the local service leader who will provide appropriate training, ongoing support, and assistance to ensure the volunteer can have the greatest possible impact with clients.
Volunteers will be inducted and trained to ensure they understand all obligations within CatholicCare policies and procedures and to ensure they can undertake their tasks safely.
What we’re looking for:
A caring and reliable person who enjoys working with people.
Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
Good communication skills and a positive attitude with the ability to work with others
Basic numeracy, written and verbal communication skills relevant to the work area
Capacity to reliably attend location where volunteering is to occur and ability to effectively manage time and priorities
Developing knowledge of the workplace function and operation
Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances (Positive Notice Blue Card with Yellow Card Exemption, Satisfactory Australian Federal Police Check).
