Wetlands Restoration & Bird Wander - Magazine Creek Wetlands, SA (Tues 4th Aug)
Conservation Volunteers Australia
Within a month
Join CVA as we continue our mission to ecologically enhance Magazine Creek Wetlands. Located in the heart of industrial Port Adelaide, this is a special habitat for insects, reptiles and birds and provides a seasonal home for migratory shorebirds. Enjoy a morning meeting new people, helping nature and enjoying some time outside!
We'll get our hands dirty to help the native plants thrive by clearing weeds and removing litter. Enjoy morning tea after your hard work and join a wander around the wetlands to count which bird species are present.
If you would like any further information about this event or the project in general, please contact Rosie 0448 112 063 [email protected]
What will I be doing on the day? All of our events begin with a safety induction and training from a CVA Team Leader.
As part of the day, you will work under the supervision of our friendly team to help with weeding and removing litter. Join a bird count after your hard work.
What skills or experience do I need? No prior experience is necessary! Our Team Leaders will provide volunteers with safety inductions and training in the activity.
This event is suitable for ages 12+ (supervised by a parent or legal guardian).
