Volunteer Visitor needed in Specialist Disability Accommodation – Sinnamon Park

WesleyCare Sinnamon Village is a Specialist Disability Accommodation Community making a difference in the lives of adults living with complex and high support needs.  We are looking for friendly people interested in regularly visiting and being a social friend to individuals living in their own apartment in Sinnamon Park.

In this particular role, a gentleman would enjoy visits from someone with an interest in sharing a coffee and chats about music and the Broncos.We’re looking for a kind, patient visitor, who is always up for a laugh, to provide companionship and reduce loneliness.   Visiting times available: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, times can be flexible.   In the role of Volunteer Visitor, you will assist in ensuring people can remain actively engaged and inspired daily. Quality time shared can include chatting, playing a game, watching a movie, going out for a cuppa or working on a hobby together.

Volunteers are not involved in providing clinical or personal care to the people they visit.

This role follows a COVID-19 safe work plan, and all volunteers work under the conditions of entry and rules for visiting made by the Specialist Disability Accommodation Home.
