Would you like to make a difference in the life of someone living with life limiting condition?

This rewarding role requires compassion, patience and an empathetic ear. The selected applicant will bring companionship, comfort, dignity and support to customers and carers receiving palliative care services. The role will involve tasks that support quality of life including:

• Companionship: Sharing in regular conversation within the home or community to discuss interests. Supporting clients to access the community to engage in meaningful activities. • Emotional support: Active listening, provide a space for the customer to share, listening in a non-judgmental way.

• Legacy Support: Assisting customers with legacy activities such as recording of life stories. Assistance with unfinished tasks such as sorting photos, reading, or writing

• Spiritual/religious Support: Supporting the customer to connect with their spiritual or religious needs

• Respite Support: Provision of respite support to a carer of someone receiving palliative care support.

We are seeking a mature and reliable volunteer with a compassionate presence and a passion for working with vulnerable seniors to enhance dignity and quality of life
