Fleet Maintenance Assistant
This volunteer role will be responsible for the following activities:
- Transporting vehicles and trailers to and from servicing appointments.
- Interior detailing of a variety of vehicles.
- Exterior cleaning of a variety of vehicles and trailers
- Assisting in packing & emptying trailers for a variety of reasons, which will include waste trips to the tip, transporting items around RSPCA sites and to alternative sites, and for emergency responses situations.
- Transporting vehicles and trailers to and from sites as per organisational requirements
- Assisting in the organisation and maintenance of Facilities and Infrastructure storage areas around RSPCA sites.
To successfully undertake this role, the volunteer will possess the following skills, attributes and/or experience:
- General fitness, physical strength and the ability to handle loads up to 15kg
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow oral and written instructions carefully
- Preparedness to work in a noisy environment
- Ability to communicate with others in a pleasant manner
- Ability to work in accordance with our values
Essential:
- Valid Drivers License
- Certificate AURTGA001 Drive and manoeuvre trailers or significant demonstrable towing experience
