Art Fun - Share the joy of creativity with others

We will support the art supplies and assist organisation for the activity to happen. The days and times can be flexible and arranged between the Lifestyle team, the residents and the volunteer. Approximately 2 hours weekly for this ongoing commitment.

The volunteer will be able to commit to an ongoing arrangement to support our residents to reconnect with Independence, creativity and freedom to paint again.

Training

Corporate induction, orientation to role and site. Education on dementia to support this activity.

Time required

Days and times flexible and will be negotiated to match elders and volunteer availability. The time is usually 10 - 12 or 1.30 - 3.30 pm. Weekdays work best to enable support with the activity.

*Please note: * As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance). * Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
