Camp & Event Photographer

Role Purpose To capture authentic, high-quality photographs at Oot & Aboot overnight camping trips that reflect the joy, connection and belonging of our community — supporting our social media, newsletter, grant applications and organisational storytelling.
What You’ll Do
- Attend Oot & Aboot overnight camping trips to capture high quality still photography.
- Capture candid, authentic moments that reflect the community — connection, laughter, nature and belonging.
- Edit and deliver photos in a timely manner following each event.
- Organise and store photos in Oot & Aboot's shared Google Drive.
- Ensure all participants have provided photo consent before being photographed.
- Work within Oot & Aboot's brand and style guidelines.
What You’ll Bring
- A quality camera and lens setup suitable for outdoor and low-light conditions
- Basic to intermediate editing skills
- A warm, unobtrusive style — able to capture candid moments without disrupting the vibe
- Comfort in outdoor environments and willingness to travel to locations across Victoria
- Reliability — editing and delivering photos
- A genuine appreciation for LGBTQIA+ inclusive spaces and community storytelling

What Volunteering with Oot & Aboot Looks Like
- Most roles are 2–4 hours per week
- Work is flexible and remote (unless events are involved)
- You’ll have a clear role and reporting line
- You’ll use simple tools like ClickUp and Google Drive
