Join SOWFI as our General Manager – Wildlife Corporate Services and play a pivotal role in strengthening the systems, people and communication that support thousands of wildlife rescues each year. This flexible, work-from-home volunteer role (approx. 15 hours per week) is perfect for someone who loves wildlife but thrives behind the scenes—building structure, clarity, trust and efficiency across a growing organisation.

Working alongside the General Manager – Wildlife Operations, you will oversee the core corporate functions that empower volunteers to do their life-saving work. This includes membership, finance, education, I.T., marketing and organisational governance. You’ll support up to eight Team Leaders, holding regular check-ins, guiding progress toward goals and ensuring strong communication between teams and the Board.

You will coordinate reporting, maintain reliable systems and data dashboards, assist with policy and compliance, strengthen member engagement, support budgeting, and help grow SOWFI’s public profile. Your leadership ensures that rescuers, carers and volunteers have the stability and resources they need to succeed.

We’re seeking an organised, people-focused leader with experience in management or corporate services. You’ll bring strong communication, problem-solving and relationship-building skills, and be confident coordinating volunteers and multiple portfolios. Experience with data, reporting and systems is important, along with the ability to provide clear, structured guidance. You must live in South Australia and have a genuine passion for wildlife and community-led rescue work.

If you’re an empathetic, detail-oriented leader with corporate experience and a passion for wildlife, this is a unique opportunity to influence positive outcomes for native animals across South Australia.
