Support Group Facilitator
Advertised by Volunteer South West IncorporatedWhat you'll be doing
Opening the facility, setting and packing up the room, guiding group discussions, purchasing morning tea supplies (reimbursed), reaching out to new members, administration duties, organising occasional guest speakers and activities.
Why this matters
Parkinson's can be an isolating condition. Our Support Groups aim to break this down and provide a community for those who need that connection.
The best bit?
The commitment is small for such a large impact on the community. The Support Group runs one day a month, with some smaller duties in between.
About you
Empathetic and approachable, reliable and well-organised, excellent listening and communications skills with the ability to facilitate group discussions. Comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds, including those living with chronic illness and/or disabilities.
