As a Lifeline Telephone Crisis Supporter, you will provide confidential support to individuals experiencing emotional distress or crisis. You will listen without judgment, offer empathy, and help callers feel heard and supported. This role is vital in preventing harm and promoting mental health in our community.
What you'll do:
- Offer a calm, non-judgemental voice to people in emotional distress
- Create moments of connection and help callers feel heard
- Provide empathy, hope and support
Skills Required:
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Empathy and resilience
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
