About the role: Bike Library Coordinators work as a team to support Bike Library sessions. When rostered on, the time commitment is around 3–4 hours, and you won’t be expected to volunteer every week.

Key responsibilities include: • Enjoys working with people and can communicate clearly and kindly, even when language barriers exist • Is organised and comfortable recording information, filing paperwork and using basic digital tools • Likes being part of a team and helping things run smoothly

When and where: The Bike Library operates at Margaret Hendry School: • Tuesdays, 11am–2pm • First Saturday of each month, 10am–12pm

About the Bike Library: The Bike Library loans refurbished bikes free of charge to the community. Bikes are donated by Canberrans, restored by volunteer mechanics, and shared with people who need them most. The program supports refugees and people facing disadvantage, promotes cycling access, and keeps bikes out of landfill.

If you speak Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Punjabi, Urdu, or Arabic, we’d love to hear from you — these language skills are a real asset in this role.
