RSL Bar Service Attendant

As a Bar Assistant, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our members, guests, and visitors. Working alongside our friendly team, you will assist with the operation of the bar and help support a variety of community and commemorative events held throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities: • Serving beer, wine, spirits, and other beverages in a friendly and professional manner. • Preparing and mixing basic drinks while ensuring RSA practices are followed. • Handling cash and electronic payments accurately and providing correct change where required. • Assisting with balancing the till and completing basic end-of-shift procedures. • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised bar area, including wiping surfaces, washing glassware, and restocking supplies. • Assisting with bar setup and pack-down for regular service periods and special events. • Providing excellent customer service and helping create a welcoming environment for members, veterans, their families, and the wider community. • Following club policies, procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.

About You: • Friendly, approachable, and reliable. • Comfortable interacting with a diverse range of people. • Able to work as part of a team and take initiative when required. • Willing to learn bar operations and assist where needed. • Previous hospitality, bar, or customer service experience is welcomed but not essential.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to develop customer service and hospitality skills while supporting the valuable work and social activities of the RSL.
