Volunteer Opportunity: Warehouse Support for children cancer charity, Neuroblastoma Australia
Location: Rent A Space, 165–169 Lower Gibbes Street, Chatswood NSW
Occasional 2nd Location: Storage Works, 269 Pacific Hwy, Artarmon NSW 2064
Dates & Times: We are looking for a volunteer who can assist for up to 4 hours total on a Thursday every 6 weeks. This may be one Thursday every 2nd or 3rd month and will be agreed upon in advance.
No specific warehouse experience required – just a positive attitude and willingness to help! However, the role would suit someone who is:
- Physically able to lift and move a range of boxes and equipment without assistance
- Physically able to lift some larger/heavier equipment - e.g gazebos and large storage tubs (two person lift where necessary)
- Comfortable working in a warehouse setting (stairs and service lift) and comfortable working outdoors for a few hours (breaks will be provided)
Duties can include:
- Merchandise organisation, counting and packing for events
- Organisation and moving of equipment - storage tubs, gazebos, boxes
- Packing or unloading van before/after our fundraising events
Not required but bonus to have - licence and access to a vehicle. Occasionally duties may require transferring some equipment from Chatswood warehouse to unit in Artarmon.
We are looking for a volunteer who is able to attend on a semi-regular basis. Hours will depend on what tasks are required on each occasion.
