Every item you sort helps raise funds for the important work of Silky Oaks Children's Haven.

You’ll be part of a welcoming, down-to-earth team — many of our volunteers come for the cause and stay for the friendships.

It’s active, social, and genuinely rewarding work. You’ll see first-hand how your time and effort helps turn generous community donations into real support for families in need.

What you’ll be doing

• Sorting donated items in our op shop shed • Checking items for quality and suitability • Organising donations ready for the shop floor • Helping keep the sorting area safe, tidy, and running smoothly • Working as part of a friendly, supportive volunteer team

What you need

• No experience required — full training provided • A positive, can-do attitude • Comfortable with light physical activity • Enjoy working with others as part of a team
