🧁 Weekday Baking & Cooking with Residents - HammondCare Waratah

🧁🍞 Weekday Baking & Cooking with Residents
Spend a warm, joy‑filled hour in the kitchen with residents as you bake, cook, chat, and create something delicious together. This weekday volunteer role runs between 10–11am or 1–3pm, offering a relaxed and social way to brighten someone’s day.
Sharing food is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to connect. The gentle rhythm of mixing, stirring, tasting, and chatting brings residents together, sparking memories, encouraging conversation, and building confidence. The kitchen becomes a place of laughter, storytelling, and companionship — and of course, the reward of freshly baked treats enjoyed warm from the oven. 🥧🍪
These sessions offer more than just yummy goodies. They create a sense of community, belonging, and purpose, helping residents feel engaged and valued. If you love cooking, sharing, and connecting, this is a beautiful way to make a difference.
