Event Operations Crew
Sports Gold Coast is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to strengthening our local sporting community. We work alongside clubs, athletes, schools, education providers, businesses and community partners to increase participation, support performance and create meaningful pathways in sport. Through the delivery of major events, community programs and industry initiatives, we celebrate sporting excellence, foster inclusion and help create opportunities that benefit our community now and into the future.
About the Role
The Event Operations Crew supports the delivery of Sports Gold Coast events by assisting event managers with on-the-day operations and guest experience. Volunteers are an important part of ensuring events run smoothly, professionally and create a positive experience for attendees, athletes, partners and stakeholders.
Events may include awards nights, career days, community activations, conferences and networking events.
Volunteers may be required to assist with:
- Event bump-in and bump-out
- Guest registration, check-in and ticketing
- Wayfinding and attendee assistance
- Supporting athletes, speakers, VIPs and partners
- Assisting with sponsor, club and activity activations
- Event operations and logistics support
- Following run sheets and schedules
- General on-the-day event support as directed
- Duties will vary depending on the event.
Skills & Experience
- No previous experience is required. Volunteers should:
- Be reliable, punctual and professional
- Have good communication and people skills
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Be adaptable and willing to help where needed
- Have an interest in sport, events or community engagement
- Training and event briefings will be provided.
