Retirement Village Cafe Assistant

Are you friendly, reliable, and enjoy meeting new people? We are seeking enthusiastic Volunteer Café Assistants to help create a warm and welcoming café experience for residents, families, and visitors at our retirement village.

At genU, we offer a Retirement Village in Lara which offers a secure, community-focused lifestyle with modern homes, inclusive programs, and scenic parkland surroundings. The on-site cafe run by volunteers (both external and village residents) is one of several facilities that are shared by all residents.

In this volunteer role your duties will include:

• Greeting customers
• Taking orders using the paper-based ordering pad
• Serving drinks (including tea, coffee and other beverages) and food
• Making coffee using the grinder, barista coffee machine and milk frother
• Processing payments using the cash register and calculator
• Stocking the fridge and shelves
• Tidying and cleaning by wiping down tables and food preparation areas
