Circle of Friends Volunteer

We are seeking a Circle of Friends Volunteer who would enjoy creating a friendly, supportive, and inclusive environment for attendees and carers. The role may involve:

• setting up the room before each session, such as arranging chairs and bringing out materials. The group are open to various activities and are active in these decisions.
• welcoming and supporting attendees, offering friendly conversation and helping them feel comfortable.
• Provide supporting during activities as needed
• assist with pack-down after the sessions where possible

Requirements:

• National Police Clearance (Broome CIRCLE can support you to obtain one)
• Experience engaging with people with disabilities (desirable but not essential)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A calm and patient person with the ability to respond respectfully

Time commitment:

• Two mornings per moth (first and third Tuesday)
• Group runs from 10am - 11.30am
