Gympie Social Centre - Social Support Volunteers

RangeCare (Blackall Range Care Group)

Advertised by Volunteering Queensland

RangeCare is a not-for-profit community organisation that offers the full range of in-home, social and respite support services to encourage people to live independently.

The Gympie Social Centre offers a range of social activities for RangeCare clients, providing much needed social connection as well as respite for carers. The RangeCare bus picks clients up from their homes and our wonderful kitchen provides morning tea and lunch. Activities are varied and fun, and include music, art, outings, themed days and games.

We have a wonderful team at the Gympie Social Centre and are looking for new volunteers to join the team – the role involves assisting on the RangeCare bus as it picks up clients and supporting the morning activities that are facilitated by RangeCare team members or maybe a little spot of gardening around the site in our new raised and mobile garden beds if gardening is your joy. Our volunteers also play an important role in creating a welcoming and friendly environment for all.

This volunteer opportunity presents a chance to really support your local community and help to keep people living their best life at home for as long as possible. You will join a large community of RangeCare volunteers, supported by our team members and Volunteer Coordinators.
