Alzheimer's WA are currently looking for volunteers to assist at our various respite houses across WA.

- Cooks, help prepare a homely meal for our clients - Men's shed assistance, support clients with our woodwork projects (such as; art work, plant boxes, general wood-work activities) - Companions for our clients

Training

Our house managers and coordinators are always on hand at site to assist with initial training. Previous support work experience is desirable.

Time required

Alzheimer's respite houses run every week with varying volunteering hours. AWA will work with the applicant and their availability.

National Police Certificate

Alzheimer's WA use a 100 point on-boarding system. Each applicant is required to submit documents equivalent to 100 points. For example, submission of passport and drivers license = 110 points. Other documents are also accepted to get to 100 points, for example, Medicare Card, Utility Bill etc. Our volunteer recruiter can go through this with you at time of application submitted.
