Volunteer Regional Specialist – Rite 2 Rise Platform
Regional Specialists help shape Rite 2 Rise so it genuinely works in real NT communities. This is a community-facing, co-design role where you bring local insight, lived experience, and practical ideas to guide how the platform looks, feels, and functions for young people.
You’ll act as a regional “bridge” between Rite 2 Rise and your community—making sure the platform reflects local strengths, speaks the right language, and connects to opportunities that actually exist on the ground.
What you’ll be doing
- Share real-time local insight about what young people are experiencing in your region
- Help design and refine platform features so they’re practical, culturally safe, and easy to use
- Test early versions of platform pages or tools and give clear feedback on what works and what needs improvement
- Identify local pathways that matter (jobs, training, community programs, mentoring, events, services)
- Help ensure the platform represents your region accurately and respectfully (including place-based context and cultural considerations)
- Recommend local organisations, community leaders, services, and youth-friendly employers to connect with
- Support region-specific content so young people can quickly find relevant options near them
- Act as a local amplifier—helping spread awareness and encouraging community engagement with Rite 2 Rise
- Contribute to a positive, solutions-focused team culture by showing up, sharing ideas, and helping problem-solve
Why the role matters
Rite 2 Rise is being built across diverse NT communities, and what works in one place won’t always work in another. This role ensures the platform is shaped by local voices, reflects local reality, and creates pathways that are relevant, accessible, and grounded in community.
Regional Specialists help prevent “one-size-fits-all” design by bringing regional truth to the table—so Rite 2 Rise can be a platform that young people actually trust and use.
What success looks like
- Your region is represented clearly and accurately on the platform
- Local opportunities and pathways are easier for young people to find and access
- Platform features improve through your feedback (clearer, safer, more useful)
- Stronger local relationships and community buy-in are built over time
- More young people hear about Rite 2 Rise and see it as something built for them
