Volunteers are required for Broome's aged care residential facility, Germanus Kent. The positions are structured around providing social support to residents from a range of backgrounds. This is particularly valuable for residents who may experience more social isolation due to various reasons such as minimal visitations from the external community.

Volunteer roles can include:

  • social visits in a 1-1 setting or in a group setting
  • supporting planned group activities
  • pastoral care volunteering
  • more specific roles such as reading or playing games

Requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Flu Vaccination (every 12 months)
  • Covid 19 Vaccinations (x2 minimum)

Onsite induction and training will be provided

The Volunteer Resource Service can offer support with the application process if needed, in line with Germanus Kent processes.
