#Volunteer Opportunity - SNUGGLES Parent Group#

Centacare Family Services is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable volunteer to support our SNUGGLES Parent Group and assist with light administrative tasks related to the program. The SNUGGLES Parent Group operates every Thursday from 9:00am to 11:00am during school terms at the Playgroup building. The group provides a welcoming and supportive environment for parents and their young children.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with families and is also happy to assist behind the scenes to help the program run smoothly.

About the Role

As a volunteer, you will:

• Assist with general group activities during SNUGGLES sessions
• Help with room set-up and pack-down
• Prepare and serve morning tea
• Support a safe, friendly, and inclusive environment

You will also assist with program support tasks, including:

• Making phone calls or sending emails to potential guest speakers
• Responding to SNUGGLES-related emails and social media enquiries
• Shopping for items required for SNUGGLES sessions and, when needed, the office.

About You

You will be:

• Approachable, reliable, and positive
• Comfortable working with families and young children
• Organised and willing to assist where needed
• Confident communicating by phone and email (or willing to learn)

Requirements

• Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Current National Police Check
• Genuine interest in supporting families and community programs
