SIBA is a Buddhist retreat centre located in the Snowy River Country of East Gippsland, offering a peaceful environment for meditation, study, and contemplative practice. We host visiting Tibetan Buddhist teachers and provide structured retreats throughout the year.

We are seeking practical, reliable volunteers to support the upcoming 10-day Calm Abiding meditation retreat. This is a service-focused role supporting the smooth running of a multi-day teaching event.

Key Duties

Kitchen support: food preparation assistance, meal service, washing up, and maintaining cleanliness

Housekeeping: cleaning retreat spaces, shared facilities, and accommodation

Laundry: preparing linens and retreat materials

Event logistics: light setup and pack-down as required

Skills & Experience

  • Reliable and able to follow clear instructions

  • Comfortable working as part of a small team

  • Physically able to undertake light manual tasks

  • Respectful of a quiet retreat environment

  • No prior Buddhist knowledge is required.
