What You'll Be Doing

Our registered charity sells second-hand quality items on regular market days, at our premises in Gelorup. All proceeds raised are 100% charity funds, directed to the assistance of local students who are in need of a hand-up. We give our support to local events held in the Shire and collaborate with other community groups to assist those in need. As items of all kinds are received through generous donations, volunteer tasks involve a great deal of sorting, moving, cleaning and preparing items for sale. On market days, volunteers have the opportunity to liaise with customers and be involved in processing sales.

Why This Matters

We are looking for volunteers who are committed to helping those in need in their local community. We have provided sponsorship for youth within the Shire and currently assist local primary schools with funding to assist students in need. Through this support, we aim to ensure that all students have the necessary educational tools to succeed and are given every opportunity to develop.

The Best Bit?

It is a very special feeling being able to help someone find a way forward when they are struggling. People remember how we have helped and many return to express their gratitude and continue to support our endeavours. You may be interested in helping us with shelf design, potting plants, craft or sewing ideas or even making costume jewellery! There is also the opportunity to develop your knowledge on the identification and sale of collectable items. There are many ways you can help - the tasks may be repetitive, but they are not difficult.
