Can you drive a van? Cockburn Care is looking for volunteer van drivers to join our fantastic team!
Since 1988, Cockburn Care has been helping the elderly stay independent for longer - you can help too! Join a wonderful team of volunteers - make friends, be part of a team and make a difference to the lives of others.
Key Tasks
- Drive community van - provide a pickup and drop off, door to door services for Cockburn Care Clients
- Provide support to clients within scope of job, including entering and exiting the vehicle safely and assisting with carrying items into their home
- Monitor and manage the working conditions and cleanliness of the vehicle including spot cleaning, reporting faults and daily checks
- Fill vehicle with fuel at Depot
- Complete odometer logbooks and daily checklist
- Adhere to systems of work compliance with relevant standards (e.g. traffic regulations, WHS regulations
Regular Training will be provided including:
- First Aid
- Verification of Competency (VOCs) Driving and Vehicle
- Infection Control
- Manual Handling
