Volunteer Maths Tutor

Role Overview We are seeking Volunteer Tutors to support secondary school students through homework help and tutoring sessions. Volunteers work alongside FMAES staff to provide encouragement, academic support, and positive learning experiences.

Key Duties

• Deliver tutoring sessions

• Encourage confidence, engagement, and positive learning habit

• Provide constructive feedback

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Follow FMAES child-safe, safeguarding, and program guidelines

Skills & Experience

• Interest in education, tutoring, or youth support

• Strong knowledge in any core subject areas

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Patience, enthusiasm, and willingness to work with diverse students

• Tutoring or teaching experience or education studies are a plus

Training & Support

• Induction and guidance from experienced educators

• Tutoring strategies and lesson support for diverse students
