Support Volunteer Needed – Secondary (Preston) | Youth & Student Support Focus

Do you have 1–2 hours a week to spare during school hours? We’re looking for caring and committed volunteers to support students at a secondary school in Preston.

No experience is required—just a willingness to connect with young people and help them stay engaged in their learning.

We would especially love volunteers who can support:

Literacy and maths

Arts and creative activities

Sport and physical activity

We also welcome people who have a background in—or are currently studying—youth work, psychology, education, or related fields. However, all skills, interests, and life experiences are valuable and appreciated.

What we’re looking for:

Friendly, patient, and compassionate individuals

Good communication skills and confidence in English

A commitment of at least 1 hour per week for 12 months

A genuine interest in supporting young people

Many of our volunteers describe the experience as deeply rewarding. You’ll be helping students build confidence, develop skills, and feel more connected to their education—while also forming meaningful relationships along the way.
