Fossung Multicultural & Education Services Inc. (FMAES) is a Queensland-based charity supporting culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) young people and families across Ipswich, Logan and surrounding communities.
We deliver tutoring, mentoring and education support programs designed to improve academic outcomes and build confidence.
We are seeking committed Volunteer Education Tutors to support secondary school students (Year 7-12) in core subjects including English, Mathematics and Science.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring support
- Assist students to strengthen subject understanding and study skills
- Support homework where needed
- Encourage confidence, motivation and positive learning habits
- Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Skills & Experience
- Good knowledge in English, Maths, Science or other core subjects
- Passion for supporting young people from multicultural backgrounds
- Good communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
