Food Service Coordinator/s - Grace Cafe

This volunteer role is suitable for fit retired people or those seeking experience in food service or catering. Coordinators are rostered to manage the café for about 3 hours on a Monday or Thursday (once a fortnight or month). Candidates must be fit and capable of dealing with people who may at times be challenging. The coordinator ensures food and beverage supplies are available for each café session. All receipts provided to café treasurer for reimbursement. You will be working in collaboration with other volunteers to deliver the meal service. The role is responsible to maintain security at the church/café (includes unlocking/locking up). Communication with café management committee and other coordinators online via ‘Whats App’ with occasion meetings. Coordinators are required to deal with any issues/incidents involving guests. At times there is the need to arrange a response to guest needs (takeaway- food, clothes, store cards, sleeping bags, tents if available) or refers to other agencies.
