We are looking for volunteers who enjoy meeting people, having a chat either by phone or face to face, take pleasure in listening to other people's life stories and are available to give our clients some of their time. Depending on mutual interests you may enjoy having a cuppa, playing cards, or board games or doing a bit of gardening together. We encourage creativity that brings enjoyment for you both.
Fostering meaningful relationships helps strengthen community connections, reduces stress and feelings of isolation. Additionally, evidence suggests that remaining socially active assists in reducing memory decline and decreases the risk of developing dementia.
