Duties

• Assist the families and new patients of chemotherapy/radiation through the process on their first visit to the unit
• Sit with families and patients and inform them of the available facilities in the hospital and in the unit, where the amenities are in the unit and identifying where patients’ information brochures are kept.
• Assist with Tea, coffee and Sandwiches in the chemo unit and in the waiting area, giving patients warm blankets if needed and refilling the blanket warmer.
• Checking that patients have their next appointments booked before leaving.

Other Duties

• Back of house assistance with miscellaneous tasks such as restocking masks, gloves (PPE) organising trolleys and non-patient contact duties
• other duties as requested by Nursing Staff
