Volunteer Coordinator Role

As our Volunteer Coordinator, you'll be the heartbeat of our centre, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. You can mould the position to suit your preferences and schedule - an amazing opportunity for a passionate person who wants to hone their organisational and self-management skills!

Here's what you'll be doing:

Schedule and Organise

• Coordinate volunteer shifts from Wednesday to Sunday, our aim is to have the centre open for 3 afternoons a week, but we can start small eg. every Friday afternoon

• Manage a roster of volunteers, keeping everyone informed, motivated and committed. A phone will be provided for the purpose of contacting volunteers Ideally, we would love you to also volunteer at the Centre, but if you are only interested in the coordinating we are happy to chat!

Open the Centre

• Work alongside another volunteer to prepare the centre for a fantastic day of activities.

Connect with Volunteers:

• Be the go-to person for volunteers, fostering a supportive and engaging environment.

Promote Youth Wellbeing:

• Create a welcoming atmosphere that prioritises the needs and interests of the youth.

Organise activities and theme nights to attract more youth in the centre *Brainstorm fun, cost effective activities and theme nights with the youth and volunteers and bring them to life. If you have a knack for grant writing to apply for funds - even better!
