We're looking for passionate locals who want to create positive opportunities for your local teenagers by establishing Midnight Basketball in your community.
Every Midnight Basketball community starts with one person who cares.
With extensive support and an online system from Midnight Basketball Australia, you can help establish a new local Tournament connecting teenagers with positive local community members.
WHAT IS MIDNIGHT BASKETBALL?
Midnight Basketball is a proven, community-led volunteer model that has run over 250 Tournaments across Australia. It is re-launching this year and any community with an indoor 2 court stadium can apply to run Midnight Basketball.
It runs on Friday or Saturday nights free for 60-80 teenagers over 8 weeks per Tournament, with each night including dinner, life-skills sessions, competition basketball, and a bus home. As a volunteer, you can be the catalyst to getting a local Midnight Basketball Tournament started.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (SUMMARY)
- Build support for Midnight Basketball in your local area
- Form and/or join a local volunteer Management Team (set roles - Implements the Midnight Basketball Australia Tournament Model)
Midnight Basketball Australia provides guidance, resources and ongoing support to help you establish and grow your local Midnight Basketball Tournament.
