Mgmt Team (Committee) Member – Start Midnight Basketball in your community

Midnight Basketball is a proven, community-led volunteer model that has run over 250 8-week Tournaments across Australia over a decade. It is re-launching this year and any community with an indoor 2 court stadium can apply to run Midnight Basketball.
It runs on Friday or Saturday nights free for 60-80 teenagers over 8 weeks per Tournament, with each night including dinner, skills sessions, competition basketball, and a bus home.
As a volunteer, you can be the catalyst to getting a local Midnight Basketball Tournament started.
A local volunteer Management team will be created, and you are able to undertake any of the following roles:
- Chair
- Finance manager
- Logistics manager
- Marketing manager
- Player manager
- Skills session manager
- Supporter manager
- Volunteer manager
Key duties of the Management Team
- Implement the Midnight Basketball Australia Tournament Model, using the guides in the online Tournament System
- Ensure a safe environment for all stakeholders including the teenage participants
- Recruit local community members to join the local Management Team
- Once planning complete, recruit volunteers for Tournament nights
