Aged Care Social Support Volunteer, Somersby

This role will include providing visits to the client at her home in Somersby for companionship and conversation.
You will support her to enjoy activities such as: • Gentle walks around the property, garden, or nearby nature areas • Visiting local nurseries, quiet parks, or botanical spaces • Talking about or observing plants, animals, and nature • Reading together, sharing books, or discussing stories • Going out for a relaxed coffee at local cafés • Enjoying scenic drives, including coastal or bushland areas
The role will require you to: • Provide emotional support through a calm, respectful presence. • Assist her to stay socially engaged while respecting her preferences and energy levels. • Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times. • Report any wellbeing concerns to the Volunteer Coordinator.
