Volunteer with The Community Table . Help Serve Hot Meals on Sundays

Every Sunday from 3PM to 5PM people gather to to heat and portion meal and make sandwiches for people doing it tonigh.
From 5PM 7PM another teams delivers the food to Jeays Street Bowen Hills to deliver the food and engage with some wonderful people who need a hot meals and a chat.
-- What You Will Do As a Community Table volunteer, you will:
- Heat, portion, and pack meals in a commercial-quality kitchen;
- Enjoy the company of other people looking to do good;
If you decide that as well as cooking, you would like to serve meals as well, you will:
- Travel to Jeays Street, Bowen Hills
- Distribute hot meals and non-perishable food to those who need it
- Offer a chat, and see people who often aren't "seen"
- Work as part of a supportive team led by the Rotary Club of Brisbane South-East (Rotary BSE)
You do not need to be a Rotary member to volunteer.
No specific skills or experience required. Just a willingness to help vulnerable residents who need help.
- Reliability, punctuality, and comfort interacting with people from diverse backgrounds
- Basic kitchen or food-handling skills are welcome but not essential
- Understanding appropriate boundaries and respectful communication
