Bollywood Dance Volunteer Tutor Wanted - Wesley School for Seniors

Do you have a passion for movement, rhythm, and the vibrant world of Bollywood dance? Do you love sharing your skills and inspiring others through joyful expression? If so, we’d love to have you join our community!

We are seeking a volunteer Bollywood Dance Instructor who can bring energy, creativity, and cultural flair to our senior students.

What You'll Bring

• Passion for Bollywood Dance: Your enthusiasm for Bollywood dance is the heartbeat of your teaching. Your energy will spark excitement and confidence in our seniors.
• Dance Experience: A strong background in dance, particularly Bollywood dance.
• Technical Proficiency: Confidence in Bollywood dance techniques, including expressive hand gestures, rhythmic footwork, facial expressions, and choreography.
• Stage Presence: Comfortable demonstrating routines and performing in front of a group.

Teaching Skills:

• Clear Communication: Ability to break down dance steps and explain movements in simple, supportive terms.
• Patience: Willingness to patiently break down complex moves for beginners.
• Adaptability: Skill in adjusting routines to suit different physical abilities, mobility levels, and learning styles.
• Supportive Environment: You'll cultivate a warm, fun, and encouraging atmosphere where seniors feel safe to try, learn, and enjoy themselves.

Bring the colour, music, and excitement of Bollywood dance to our seniors! Together, we’ll create joyful, energetic classes that inspire confidence, creativity, and connection.

As a volunteer tutor, you’re committed to conduct:

• weekly sessions lasting 1 hour
• anytime between 10am to 4pm from Monday to Friday. (subject to room availability)
• Term 2 commences on Monday 20 April – Friday 3 July 2026
• open for discussion for online class

Our school is conveniently situated in Sydney’s CBD, in close proximity to Town Hall or St James station.
